Membership
The railway is run entirely by volunteer members.
At present, we have around 40 members who are automatically enlisted on the membership roster system that requires members to attend approximately 15 times per year. However, the vast majority of members turn up more frequently which we encourage.
The railway relies solely upon its volunteers in order to operate and we are always in need of new recruits to come and help alongside and join in with our existing friendly team. In particular . . .
- Station and booking office assistance (full training given)
- Drivers for petrol and steam hauled locomotives (full training given)
- General maintenance and undertaking of various jobs to keep the railway safe and tidy.
In addition to the day-to-day operation of the railway, we welcome individual's expertise and experience to help us achieve our aims.
